    Anton Blidh has signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche.
    Blidh played in 32 games with the Boston Bruins last season. He posted two goals, nine points, 28 shots and 82 hits.

    The Colorado Avalanche have signed Mikhail Maltsev to a one-year, two-way contract.
    Maltsev will come with a $800,000 cap hit if he plays in the NHL. He had no points in 18 games with Colorado and 48 points in 56 AHL contests in 2021-22.

    The Colorado Avalanche have appointed Kevin McDonald to the role of assistant General Manager.
    McDonald had been working within the Blues’ organization since Kevin McDonald and he spent the last four years as the General Manager of the St. Louis Blues’ AHL affiliate. He also won the 2022 Thomas Ebright Memorial Award in recognition for his career contributions to the AHL. Colorado recently named Chris MacFarland as their new general manager while Joe Sakic is serving as the team president.

    Keaton Middleton has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Colorado Avalanche.
    Middleton had two goals, 11 points, and 76 penalty minutes in 49 AHL games in 2021-22. He didn’t play in the NHL last season, but he did appear in three games with the Colorado Avalanche in 2020-21.

    Cal Burke has agreed to a one-year deal with the Colorado Avalanche.
    Burke had 12 goals and 26 points in 57 AHL contests last season. The 25-year-old forward hasn’t made an appearance in the NHL.

    Brad Hunt has inked a two-year, two-way contract with the Colorado Avalanche.
    Hunt suited up in 50 games with Vancouver last season. He provided three goals, 17 points, 67 shots, 48 blocks and 22 hits over that span.

  • CGY Center #91
    Colorado remains an option for unrestricted free agent Nazem Kadri.
    Kadri is still looking for the right fit for himself, but it sounds like a return to the Avalanche could still be an option. “We stay in touch with Naz’s camp,” said Colorado GM Chris MacFarland on Thursday. “Right now they’re doing their thing and we’ll continue to monitor it.” As expected, Kadri has been attracting plenty of interest on the open market.

    Spencer Smallman agreed to terms with the Colorado Avalanche.
    Smallman scored 10 goals, 27 points, and 64 penalty minutes in 65 AHL contests last season. During the 2022 postseason, he added another two goals and six points in 18 games.

    Josh Jacobs has signed with the Colorado Avalanche.
    Jacobs had four goals and 15 points in 51 AHL games last season. The 26-year-old defenseman has three NHL games worth of experience on his resume.

    Jonas Johansson has signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche.
    Johansson started the 2021-22 season as a member of the Avalanche organization before he was claimed off waivers by Florida. The Panthers didn’t give him a qualifying offer, so he became a free agent. Johansson struggled at the NHL level last season in 11 appearances with a 4.81 GAA and .852 SV%.
