MEM Small Forward #3

Jake LaRavia struggled on Saturday and finished with just 15 points (3-for-13 FGs, 8-for-8 FTs), four rebounds, three assists, one steal, three blocks and one 3-pointer against the Bulls.

LaRavia was able to make up for his poor shooting with an effective night from the free throw line and statistical contributions across the board. LaRavia spent most of his rookie season in the G-League after being selected with the 19th pick of the draft. He has a chance to earn a legit role in his second season with Dillon Brooks gone, and he was much better on Wednesday, when he scored 25 points. He won’t have this large of an offensive role in the NBA, but he proved that he can find other ways to be effective.
Kenneth Lofton Jr.

MEM Power Forward #6

Kenneth Lofton Jr. led the Grizzlies with 23 points (8-for-14 FGs), four rebounds, two steals, three blocks and two 3-pointers in an 87-80 win over Chicago on Saturday.

Once again, Lofton carried the offensive load for Memphis in this game. He dominated in the regular season finale and has carried that over to Summer League. Memphis will keep Lofton around, but it’s going to be difficult for him to become a consistent part of their rotation. Even if he does, he won’t see the offensive volume that he needs to be an impact player in fantasy basketball.
Tarik Biberovic

MEM Power Forward

Tarik Biberovic made his debut for the Grizzlies on Thursday and contributed 13 points (5-for-15 FGs), six rebounds, two assists, one block and three 3-pointers against the Jazz.

Biberovic was selected by Memphis with the 56th pick of the draft last month. He’ll play in Europe this season as the Grizzlies have him on a Euro-stash contract. This is the first Summer League game that he played in, which is important for the team to see. It’s unclear if he has a future in the league, so these games are vital for him to prove if he belongs.
Gregory Jackson

G.G. Jackson led Memphis on Thursday with 23 points (8-for-20 FGs), 10 rebounds, one block and four 3-pointers in a 98-83 loss to Utah.

Incredibly, some of the same issues that plagued Jackson at South Carolina are spilling into Summer League. He has played 55 minutes through three games and has a grand total of zero (0) assists. He’s a talented player, and he got the chance to show it in this game. However, it’s hard to imagine him becoming a rotational player in the NBA if he isn’t able to create for others. There’s plenty of time for that to come, and he did play really well in this game. However, the lack of assists will continue to glare.
Isaiah Todd

PHX Power Forward #14

The Grizzlies are trading three second-round picks to the Suns in exchange for first-round pick swaps in 2024 and 2030 and Isaiah Todd, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Memphis will have the right to swap their first for the less favorable first-round pick between the Suns and Wizards in those years, since Washington will get the more favorable from the Bradley Beal trade. Todd heads to Memphis, but he’ll likely spend the majority of his time in the G-League.
Jake LaRavia

Jake LaRavia finished Wednesday’s 94-86 win over the Thunder with 25 points (9-of-18 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), three rebounds, two steals, and four 3-pointers in 27 minutes.

After getting off to a cold start in Memphis’ summer opener, LaRavia was much better on Wednesday. He scored 16 points in the first quarter alone, knocking down shots from all over the court. LaRavia led five Grizzlies in double figures, with Vince Williams Jr. adding 18 to go along with nine rebounds, one assist, two steals, one block, and three 3-pointers. With Dillon Brooks moving on to Houston in free agency, there may be room on the back end of Memphis’ wing rotation. And that would be good news for LaRavia and David Roddy, who played well in the Grizzlies’ first summer victory.
Kenneth Lofton Jr.

MEM Power Forward #6

Kenneth Lofton Jr. posted a line of 21 points (6-of-15 FGs, 7-of-10 FTs), 13 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two 3-pointers in Monday’s 94-92 win over Philadelphia.

Lofton only played 24 minutes in the Grizzlies’ summer opener, but he made the most of his time on the court. He may not have the height that many associate with the power forward position, but Lofton is more than capable of filling that role. He was one of the top players in the G League as a rookie, and his play this summer may go a long way toward ensuring that Lofton has a credible shot of earning rotation minutes in the fall. Vince Williams Jr. added 19 points (7-of-11 FGs), seven rebounds, and five 3-pointers in 24 minutes for the Grizzlies.
David Roddy

MEM Power Forward #27

David Roddy shot 4-of-9 from three in Monday’s 94-92 win over Philadelphia, scoring 18 points (5-of-13 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) with four rebounds, two assists, and one blocked shot in 27 minutes.

Improving his perimeter shot is one of Roddy’s points of emphasis for this summer, and he showed what he’s capable of Monday night. As a rookie, he shot 30.7% from three on three attempts per game. And given the presence of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson Jr., a lot of Roddy’s looks next season are bound to be of the catch-and-shoot variety. He averaged 18.0 minutes per game last season, and more playing time could be available to Roddy thanks to the departure of Dillon Brooks (Houston). He isn’t a must-draft player in standard leagues at this point in the offseason, but Roddy is someone worth keeping an eye on.
Patty Mills

OKC Point Guard #8

Patty Mills will now join the Thunder as part of a larger trade with Houston, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Originally Mills was traded to the Rockets. Then, he was being sent to Memphis as part of the Dillon Brooks sign-and-trade. Now, within the same trade, Mills is headed to the Thunder for draft compensation. The full details of the traded will come out eventually, but it seems that Mills will be in Oklahoma City next season. He’ll be a solid vet to have around, but he won’t be impacting fantasy hoops.
Patty Mills

MEM Point Guard #8

According to Kelly Iko of The Athletic, Patty Mills is being rerouted to Memphis as part of the Grizzlies’ sign-and-trade deal with the Rockets.

Traded to the Rockets Saturday evening, Mills is now being included in the deal that will send Dillon Brooks to Houston. So the two-team deal the veteran guard was involved in is now a three-team trade, and Mills may have a better shot at fantasy relevance in Memphis than he would have in Houston. With Brooks and Tyus Jones (Washington) moving on and Ja Morant being suspended for the first 25 games of next season, Mills may be able to scrape out late-round fantasy value for fantasy managers needing 3-point production.
