  • PHI Power Forward #44
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the 76ers have matched the Jazz’s three-year, $24 million offer sheet on Paul Reed.
Bball Paul will be back in a Sixers uniform for the 2023-24 season, where he’ll operate as Joel Embiid’s primary backup. Given Embiid’s propensity for missing games, Reed should be a popular streaming option when the reigning MVP is sidelined.
  • NOP Small Forward #11
Dyson Daniels provided a massive final stat line of 17 points, 15 boards, eight dimes, two steals, two blocks and two triples in Sunday’s win over Golden State.
My goodness! Daniels scored 18 with five rebounds, three assists, four steals and a block Friday, so it’s safe to say his Summer League is off to a hot start. He logged better than 17 minutes per game in 59 appearances for New Orleans as a rookie last season, putting up solid numbers when given extended playing time. If he can continue to ascend and earn some more minutes, he could be viable in 12-team leagues. Until we see that happen, however, it’s not advisable to draft him in fantasy hoops outside of deep leagues.
  • ATL Point Guard
Kobe Bufkin finished Sunday’s win over Denver with 17 points, six assists, five rebounds, a block and four triples.
Bufkin was a pitiful 6-of-19 from the field, but he hit four of his 10 attempts from beyond the arc and got teammates involved with six dimes. Bufkin struggled with his shot in his Summer League debut, and through two games, he’s totaled 25 points on 10-of-33 shooting. Encouragingly, he’s doing enough elsewhere to make up for the rough efficiency.
  • POR Small Forward #17
Shaedon Sharpe delivered nine points, eight rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block Sunday against the Spurs.
He shot just 4-of-18 from the floor, including 0-of-5 from beyond the arc. Sharpe contributed some useful peripheral stats to go with his nine points, so his night wasn’t completely awful. Despite a poor shooting performance from Sharpe and a dominant game from Victor Wembanyama on the other end (27 points, 12 rebounds), the Blazers came away with the win thanks to strong play from Jabari Walker and Michael Devoe.
  • SAS Power Forward #1
Victor Wembanyama accounted for 27 points, 12 rebounds, a steal, three blocks and two triples Sunday in an 85-80 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Wemby didn’t look great in his Summer League debut and even admitted that he “didn’t know what he was doing out there.” He certainly changed that Sunday, as he led his team in scoring and delivered a monster double-double with some key defensive stats. We’ll keep an eye on him moving forward and see if he can keep the momentum going in the Spurs’ next Summer League contest.
  • GSW Shooting Guard #2
Ryan Rollins finished Sunday’s win over the Celtics with 17 points, nine assists, three boards, five steals and a triple.
After spending his rookie campaign with Golden State, Rollins was shipped to the Wizards along with Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Chris Paul in the Bradley Beal deal. Rollins underwent foot surgery in February that cut his inaugural season short, so it was good to see him in action Sunday, especially as he led the team in scoring, steals and dimes. He could see meaningful minutes in Washington’s rebuilding lineup in 2023-24.
  • BOS Shooting Guard #99
Justin Champagnie totaled 21 points, 12 rebounds, six dimes, a block and two triples Sunday in a 103-98 loss to the Wizards.
Julian Champagnie scored 20 points Friday, and on Sunday, it was his twin brother’s turn to shine. Justin - the older of the two by 11 minutes - led his team in scoring in the narrow loss to Washington, collecting a double-double with a full stat line. Boston lost Marcus Smart and Grant Williams this offseason, and the lack of depth could free up some rotational minutes for the young Champagnie in his first season with the Celtics.
  • DET Shooting Guard #9
Ausar Thompson shot 6-of-13 from the field and scored 12 points to go with eight rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks.
Scoring 12 points on 13 shots isn’t the most efficient scoring night, but Thompson contributed meaningful numbers in half a dozen categories. After posting a 7/9/3/1/3 line in his debut Friday, he looks every bit like a top-5 pick. This Pistons team features a backcourt that includes Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey and Thompson with Jalen Duren and James Wiseman in the frontcourt. It’s going to be a fun season in Motor City.
  • HOU Small Forward
Cam Whitmore scored 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting, adding two assists, a rebound, a steal and three triples.
Whitmore has been great through two Summer League appearances, averaging 17.5 points, 6.0 boards, 2.0 dimes and 1.5 steals. Regarded by many as a top-5 pick leading up to the 2023 Draft, Whitmore fell to No. 20, and teams that passed on him may already be regretting that decision.
  • DET Center #13
James Wiseman finished Sunday’s loss to Houston with 17 points, 10 rebounds and an assist, while Jalen Duren posted 23 points, 10 rebounds, an assist and a block.
Duren had 17/8 on Saturday, while Wiseman provided 16/12, as both big men have shined through the Pistons’ first two Summer League contests. This is the starting frontcourt we should expect this season, and both players should be viable in 12-team leagues because of their rebounding and blocking abilities.
  • HOU Power Forward #1
Jabari Smith Jr. finished Sunday’s win over the Pistons with 38 points, seven rebounds, six assists, a steal, a block and three triples.
JSJ erupted for 33 points and a game-winner Friday against the Blazers, and he somehow followed that up with an even better performance Sunday. The Rockets are 2-0 through their first pair of Summer League games, and it’s thanks to the stellar play of Smith Jr. After an up-and-down rookie campaign, he’ll look for a more consistent sophomore effort. If his Summer League play is any indication of things to come, fantasy managers should adjust their rankings accordingly.
